Film Scramble

Let’s make a movie! Azalea City Con, something different for Mobile, is excited to launch our very first film scramble. We are welcoming filmmakers, actors, and all interested parties (professional and amateur) to create a film for the competition.

To compete in the film scramble, you must follow the simple rules below and share your film with us at azaleacitycon@gmail.com before the convention. Voting will take place during the convention weekend, and the winner will be announced on Sunday of the convention at a special viewing!

Azalea City Con Film Scramble Rules:

The Scenario: You have tickets for the 2024 Azalea City Con convention in Mobile, Alabama, and are excited to attend, only to find the location has been changed to a different dimension!

Your Challenge: 

1. Choose a genre. Will your film be a drama, comedy, action flick, rom-com, or cartoon? The choice is yours!

2. Pick a dimension. Where the convention has been relocated is up to you. Be creative and use your film to explain the dimension to your audience.

3. Illustrate your journey. Traveling to a different dimension has challenges! Show us your struggle and take us along on your journey to arrive at the 2024 Azalea City Con.

Technical Stuff:

1. Max Run Time: 5 minutes 

2. Resolution: Minimum 1080p

3. Rating should be kept to PG-13

4. DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: 7/10/2024
